Tiki Organic Farm and Miraflores

Since we want the very best specialty organic produce for our clients, we often head to Tiki’s Organic Farm. Tiki’s is located in a growing area of Los Cabos called Miraflores, which is about 30 miles north of the airport in San Jose. This beautiful agricultural wonderland features row after row of the earth’s most amazing fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

Tiki’s proudly grows hard-to-find produce specialties such as purple cauliflower, heirloom tomatoes, butternut squash and watermelon radish, among other delicacies. We love the quality and the freshness of everything Tiki’s cultivates!

Besides all the delicious varieties of responsibly farmed produce, Tiki’s is also a visual delight to visit. Surrounded by mountains and rolling hills, this picturesque ranch wows visitors with some of the most beautiful flowers that exist (most of which are edible)! In fact, Miraflores, literally translates to “watch/look at flowers.”

Though the Miraflores area is certainly important to organic produce and flower farming in the Los Cabos area, the town also offers visitors more than just the sights of its rich farmland. Miraflores is also home to a vibrant, traditional community of about 1500 residents, and is considered one of the most important cultural centers for the Los Cabos region.

Visitors to Miraflores in the month of July can enjoy the well-known Pitihaya Fair (la feria de la pitihaya), where many regional delicacies and local artisan goods are sold.

One other popular cultural event that takes place every year in Miraflores is the Día de la Vírgen celebration (December 14). The patron saint of this national holiday is honored at the historic Miraflores Church, and celebrated with popular dances, local food and drink, and even horse and donkey racing!

For visitors who don’t mind venturing off the beaten path, there are hundreds of years of history and culture waiting to be enjoyed in Miraflores. We absolutely adore the historic traditions, the amazing natural beauty, and of course the delicious organic produce grown and harvested by our hard-working local farmers!
